Accessibility at Crealy Theme Park & Resort
Caring for those with disabilities and additional needs
Crealy Theme Park and Resort has been designed for guests with disabilities and/or additional access needs firmly in mind. All our team are trained to recognise the individual needs of our guests and will do everything possible to ensure all guests have a safe and memorable visit.
We have disabled toilets located at every toilet block, and an additional larger area at the top of the park opposite the Adventure zone equipped with a mobile hoist, privacy screens and an adjustable changing bed.
We offer a number of Blue Badge spaces on a first come first serve basis. This parking is situated next to the main entrance, opposite the main car park, and can be access by travelling along the driveway until you approach a right turn, signed ‘disabled car park’.
We also have two new accessible attractions on the Theme Park, located in Sooty Land - an ability swing and roundabout.

Ride Access Pass (RAP)
What is a Ride Access Pass?
The Ride Access Pass (RAP) scheme gives guests, who are unable to queue, quicker access onto the rides.
Who can get a Ride Access Pass?
A Ride Access Pass can be issued to guests who can provide the following documentation, along with photographic identification for the named recipient as eligibility:
1. Disability Living Allowance or Attendance Allowance (DLA) award letter (dated within the last 2 years) showing that you receive the higher rate mobility component.
2. Personal Independence Payment (PIP) letter (dated within the last 2 years) showing that you receive the enhanced mobility component.
3. Access card (Showing the Queue symbol) https://www.accesscard.org.uk/
4. Blue Badge
5. A letter from your GP or Consultant on headed paper (dated within the last two years) which clearly states you are unable to queue and why (unfortunately, we are unable accept a letter of diagnosis as proof of eligibility)
Ride Access Passes are not automatically given to guests with visual, hearing or learning difficulties unless they can provide the accepted documentation above.
How do I book a Ride Access Pass?
Pre booking your Ride Access Pass is essential and can be done by emailing guestservices@crealy.co.uk and providing your proof of eligibility.
Unsure if you have the correct documentation? Contact us at guestservices@crealy.co.uk before your visit so we can check and assist if not.
If you do not get an email back from us, assume a Ride Access Pass has not been booked for you, and bring your proof of eligibility on the day of visit.
If you are not eligible for one of our Ride Access Passes, please speak to us prior to your visit, so we can help you make the most of your day or visit our Information window at the entrance of the park on the day of your visit.
Our team will do everything we can to assist you in applying for a Ride Access Pass, however we are not able to visually assess individual’s abilities, so we must ask that the documentation above is present when applying. If this is a letter from a medical advisor, this must specifically state that a guest cannot queue, rather than a general diagnosis. Unless the nature of the disability is clearly stated, we are unable to know what support may be required.
Using your Ride Access Pass
Ride Access Pass users will be given a blue wristband and a Ride Access Pass which are to be presented to a ride operator when entering a ride. The blue wristband should be worn by the guest who is eligible for the Ride Access Pass.
Wait at the exit gate of the ride where the operator can see you. The Ride Access Pass can only be used by the person wearing the BLUE wristband and an additional 3 guests. For health and safety reasons, a carer over the age of 18 must accompany the user on the ride or wait at the exit gate.
The operator will then mark your pass; you can re ride after one hour has passed. On busy days, please respect other riders, expect to wait for at least 1 ride cycle and only use the pass where necessary.
Guests should speak to the ride operator to identify their needs and offer full support, especially in the case of a routine stoppage or an emergency evacuation.
CARERS ADMISSION
We offer FREE admission to Registered employed carers accompanying a visiting guest with additional needs (People that are employed as carers, proof of employment will be required.)
CARER CONCESSIONS
We also offer discounted admission rates to carers of guests receiving the higher rate of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or the Disability Living Allowance. The person you care for will need to provide proof of their disability.
Please note: Blue badge holders are not automatically entitled to free or discounted rate admission, the correct documentation would also need to be supplied.
BLUE LIGHT CONCESSIONS
Blue Light Card holders, NHS, Regisered Carers are entitled to discount for the card holder plus one other.
RIDE ACCESS PASSES
Guests with additional needs who are unable to queue may be eligible for a ride pass. This would allow them and up to three accompanying helpers to access the ride via the ride exit area for ease of access.
Ride passes can be requested from a member of park management or at the ticket office. Proof of entitlement is required in the form of a signed letter from a GP or medical professional, which demonstrates that the guest is unable to queue.
Approximately 1 in 40 of our young visitors are on the autistic spectrum and it is at the request of their parents that proof of eligibility for the ride access pass is required. This ensures that those who experience emotional distress when queuing receive the maximum benefit from the pass. We fully understand that we cannot determine the needs of any individual based upon a visual assessment nor can we assume that every guest with autism or a developmental disability will have trouble queuing. A DLA letter is insufficient to qualify for a ride pass.
Note that owing to the family nature of our park, Crealy is a particularly popular choice for guests with special needs. If there are lots of guests eligible for a ride pass on any one day, then access to the ride via the exit may still require some queuing time. Please also note that we do experience some very busy days, and it is important to remember that the ride access pass is designed to lessen your queuing time, not to eliminate it, nor to entitle any person to 'next rider' status.
Please therefore respect other ride pass holders too, expect to wait at least 1 ride cycle (sometimes more on busy days) and only use the pass where necessary. Our ride operators will balance the loading of riders from each queue line for maximum efficiency and equality.
A ride access pass does not guarantee access to every ride at the time of any persons choosing, nor access to a greater number of rides than any non-pass holder. It only lessens the queue time; it does not increase the number of ride possibilities. On quieter days you’ll find that the need for such a pass is not even necessary, making your family day out even easier!
Crealy will NEVER offer ride access passes for sale. We're proud to only be providing ride access passes to those with genuine additional needs. We strongly advise that all guests with special needs are accompanied whenever possible on every ride.
As members of the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers, and Attractions (BALPPA) we welcome visits by disabled people and those with additional needs and will do all that is possible to ensure a safe and pleasurable visit.
However, certain rides/attractions can be physically demanding and vigorous. We therefore reserve the right to refuse admission to certain rides/attractions should we feel there is a danger to a particular individual or individuals for whatever reason.
We have been advised by the Health and Safety Executive that refusal on the grounds of health and safety does not constitute discrimination. We hope that you understand and accept the decisions made in the interest of your safety.
